Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I order KISS Kapow?

As of this moment, KISS Kapow is available exclusively through this web site! If you are interested in becoming a retailer then contact our marketing department and we will happily see what we can do!

How do I apply KISS Kapow?

We recommend following these detailed directions here. It is a simple wipe on process but this guide will help you get the most out of your KISS Kapow.

Is KISS Kapow toxic in any way?

KISS Kapow is completely non-toxic in its uncontaminated form. However, firearms are likely to contain lead, copper, brass and other metals that are corrosive and possibly toxic. Lead has been documented to cause lead poisoning so proper protective measures should be made to keep you and your lungs safe.

KISS Kapow will likely leave your firearm EXTREMELY clean, but this means that during application those toxic chemical contaminants will come off and be a possible health hazard. So PLEASE take great care to protect yourself.

We also suggest that you not try and recycle excess KISS Kapow by putting it back in the syringe as it may have been contaminated with lead or other such toxic chemicals after contact with your firearm.

How long will a coating of KISS Kapow last?

A coating of KISS Kapow will last the lifetime of your firearm's surface. This means that once applied, KISS Kapow will not wear off without sanding or chemically removing the surface layer. This also means that KISS Kapow only needs to be applied once. Re-application is only necessary if the surface of the firearm has become worn off with excessive use or age.

Does this mean I don't have to use oil on my firearm anymore?

We recommend keeping a light layer of oil on your firearm, even with KISS Kapow. The added oil will help keep friction down and keep things smooth in your firearm. It will also help keep errant pieces of dirt from getting caught between delicate parts of the firearm.

What color is KISS Kapow? Will it discolor my firearm?

KISS Kapow is transparent when applied. It is completely invisible to the naked eye. KISS Kapow can be applied to a mirror or glass and can go completely unnoticed. It will not discolor your firearm in any way. However, it may make your firearm appear to be "cleaner " when applied as if it had just been freshly blued or polished.

Will KISS Kapow melt or freeze off of my firearm if I use it in adverse weather?

KISS Kapow has been tested in temperatures as low as -265°C and as high as 3000°C. KISS Kapow retained its properties under both conditions. As of this moment, we have been unable to reach temperatures at which KISS Kapow fails. From our experience, the surface KISS Kapow is applied to will fail well before KISS Kapow will.

How do I store my syringe between uses? Whats its shelf life?

KISS Kapow only needs to be kept in a dry, dirt-free environment between uses. However, it will keep perfectly well whether in your toolbox or glove box. KISS Kapow will not go bad or "expire."
